Relentless Love, Real Impact
The Altadena Recovery Team (ART) was founded by four Black women with deep ties to Altadena and Pasadena. Having grown up in the area, they were shaped by the values, traditions, and support of the community. When the Eaton Fire devastated homes and livelihoods, they saw firsthand the urgent need for long-term recovery efforts that went beyond immediate aid.
We strive to create a space where our neighbors support one another, resources are shared, and the bonds of our community grow even stronger.
We are committed to restoring hope, strength, and unity in our community following the devastation of the Eaton fires and other natural disasters.
Through rebuilding efforts, community-driven initiatives, and a deep focus on equity and empowerment, we aim to transform this loss into community resilience and pave the way for a brighter, more connected future
ART is committed to addressing the urgent and long-term needs of individuals and families impacted by the Eaton Fire. We recognize that disaster recovery is not just about rebuilding homes, but about restoring hope, unity, and economic stability for those most affected
Many families lost the ability to buy school supplies or pay for education.
Your donation helps children return to the classroom with the tools they need to learn, grow, and heal. From backpacks to tuition aid, every contribution helps rebuild their future.
Families who once managed basic healthcare now face impossible choices.
With resources stretched thin, many can’t afford essential medicine or treatment. Your support helps cover urgent care, prescriptions, and medical access.
Displacement left many without homes, essentials, or stability.
Your donation ensures people in crisis receive food, shelter, hygiene products, and emotional support—everything needed to survive and start over with dignity.
Currently, ART does not have a consistent volunteer base. While we are working to build volunteer infrastructure, we would love to see you out in the field with us either at our donation and distribution center or by making supply runs for us (all purchases will be reimbursed).
Our community is always in need of new items. The fastest, and most important, way that you can lend your support is through monetary donations on our GoFundMe linked here or with this QR code.
Community needs change rapidly as people advance in their recovery process. As a result, ART regularly needs NEW donation items at our distribution center to meet these needs. You can find a list of our most pressing needs on our Amazon Wish List.
As we continue to grow and evolve as an organization and in our advocacy, we continually seek pro bono professional services and skills. Please reach out to us if you can support.
We understand that the fires caused a lot of distress among community members. Our goal is to relieve that stress, not add to it. Accessing support services is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
ART will be distributing supplies at the Fraternal Order of Eagles parking lot in Altadena, everySaturday (unless it is raining). To access the distribution center, you may walk up to our grey tentor drive up through the parking lot’s East entrance.
Unable to come by our distribution center? No problem! ART can deliver supplies or offer alternative pick up services to families within LA County. In order to be eligible for these services, please fill out our recovery assistance survey linked here or with the QR code above:
We regularly update our Instagram and checkout DMs for messages from community members. If either of the above options do not fit your needs, please feel free to DM us@AltadenaRecoveryTeam or email us at [email protected]
ART has been a lifesaver since my family and I lost our home in the tragic Eaton Fire this past January. The ART Team has provided us with food, clothing, hygiene, and beauty supplies, accessories, and pet supplies. I am thankful to have an amazing team of such caring individuals by my side through this extremely difficult time. Thanks for all you do, Altadena Recovery Team.
I can’t thank you enough for your generosity yesterday, especially the “AUSSIE HAIR CARE BOX”!…. You girls “REALLY” get it!.. I have been trying to wash this (curly) hair with donated shampoo that has it looking and feeling like cardboard!..🤣 What a blessing, you truly made our day, and may you always be blessed!..❤️
Thank you for being one of our Heroes. When the Eaton Fire broke out on January 7, we couldn't have imagined its impact on our BGCP community and beyond. Over 70 Club families, 2 staff members, and 1 Board member lost their homes, while many more were displaced or lost access to their schools. In the midst of the devastation, you brought hope. Your generosity ensured that families received immediate support, and we were able to keep our doors open as a safe space and to provide essential items like water, clothing, and hygiene products. Thank you for being an Eaton Fire Hero and standing with our Club community when it mattered most.
